AC9 is a two channel clinical audiometer with a wide range of special tests and various input and output parameters that makes it ideal for modern health-care environments & one of the best choices for hearing health professionals Both channels can be used together for most of functions as channel 2 provides an OFF switch allowing channel 1 to function lonely in single channel operation.
Pure Tone presentation
For using touch switches AC9 is a real click-free system and combination of the various presentation modes like Reverse, Single pulse, Multiple pulse, Alternative and Simultaneous, will satisfy nearly all audiological requirements.
Special Tests
Most usual special tests are preformed automatically with a complete printout
SISI (Short Increment Sensitivity Index), MLB (Monaural Loudness Balance), TTD ( Threshold Tone Decay ), ABLB (Alternative Binaural Loudness Balance). Some can be operated manually without print, as Tone in noise (Langenbeck), Binaural Speech, Stenger (malingering) , MLD (Masking Limen Difference), Tinitus. And some are available by setting options on print setup, like; DMU (Difference Masked/Unmasked).
Speech score calculation
The speech score counter is easily operated using correct/incorrect score buttons. The % of correct scores is calculated and displayed automatically as it can be seen on the monitor and its curve (score/dB) can be printed as speech audiogram.
Bekesy & Auto-threshold
Auto-threshold is based on Hughson-Westlake method (5dB up 10dB down) Desired test frequencies and functions can be selected in set-up mode by user .The Bekesy test can be featured by pure tone or pulsed tone, with mask or without mask . The frequency change is produced in two preset-able modes ; Octave/sec .(when multi-freq. selected) or oscillation per frequency (normal) HF Bekesy is also available but because of different head-sets, test will stop at the end of 8k and after selecting HF it needs Start to continue Bekesy test.
Multi frequency
A large number of frequencies in 62.5Hz steps are selectable in both normal and HF modes that helps getting the most exact results in Tinitus & Bekesy tests.
(HF) High frequency
Frequencies from 8k to18k in 1kHz steps are available in HF mode on both NB and Tone inputs. The output must be plugged to HF headset for better gain and quality.
Built-in Free field amplifier
Two 10w high quality built-in amplifiers are used to produce Free Field output. According to the gain, distance and quality of speakers and the sound booth, the output level may vary so calibration of FF. must be repeated while installing.
Communication, monitoring
AC9 is equipped with communication facilities as Talk-back & Talk-forward with built-in media like speaker and Mic. Monitoring the stimulus of one or both channels is possible even while hearing the test person`s response by talk-back.
Modification of test factors
In AC9 Setup mode most parameters of tests and presentation can be modified by user and the changes will be saved permanently on modification memory.
